Our company, Cornerstone Management, Inc., was founded in 1977 with its primary emphasis on custom home building in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Cornerstone began as a "hands-on" company with particular attention paid to the skills of carpentry. Management line and staff were all the same. While Cornerstone's background has been in carpentry, we have never been solely carpenter contractors. By performing the duties of a carpenter contractor on our own projects as the General Contractor, Cornerstone gained the experience to oversee all phases of construction.
Over the years, Cornerstone Management Inc. has crafted custom homes and renovation projects from $120,000 to over $3 million. We have completed townhouses, single family homes, scattered site single family homes, as well as residential retrofit/remodeling projects throughout Chicagoland.
We are currently active in an effort to help 1st time home buyers and home buyers in general take advantage of a special program that the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) , which is a part of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, offers; the 203k Rehab Loan. This program has the flexibility of an FHA mortgage as well as the benefit of combining your purchase or refinancing costs and rehabilitation costs into one single loan.
We feel that quality should not be inversely related to quantity. Whether you want to make an addition to your home and are looking for a reliable place to start, or require the services of a General Contractor or a Construction Manager, let Cornerstone Management provide you with the professional service you need. There is nothing new about doing something right. It should be expected!
What Makes Us Different
Because “custom built" is often the most over used term in construction, clients are sometimes confused with which direction to go with their project. In many cases, clients want to make more choices about how and where their money is spent. This is not possible when working with a traditional mass-market or semi-custom builder who typically use their own choices of products and vendors regardless of the client's input. Whether you want to hire certain subcontractors or even do some of the work yourself, it will work to your best advantage to choose Cornerstone Management, Inc. to help with all the design and construction decisions you’ll need for the project.
